So, I was sitting around watching battlestar galactica there and I had this inkling that I totally don’t write enough of my headspace on this website. So I have conjured up a new feature-type-thing called…. drum-roll… imprintthisonyourunderground!
Its all about underground imprints, i.e. record labels. Ahem.
First off we have the HATE imprint. Fact of the matter is though, I know very little about this label, and I can’t actually find out anything much about it. The general story is that the releases are actually original junglist hardcore recordings from 1991-1994 from artists who wish to remain unknown. Well, I’m not sure whether I believe that or not and there is a pretty good chance that its some mentally brilliant modern artists utterly shitting over every piece of “nu-hardcore” being dropped these days.
Either way - its fracking amazing stuff - I’ve put up a few tracks to stream below so check them out. I can’t even link you to a website, because there isn’t one as far as I can see. Also, you’ll most likely have to buy the tunes digitally because the vinyl’s pretty limited. Try ebay. Enjoi.
HATE001 - Pretty Boy’s Don’t Survive Up North
HATE004 - Triple Bypass

Hey - so yes, I know I’ve been a quiet one lately. My new job leaves me pretty spread thin these days and I have been putting plans together for a new produced feature. So yes, watch this space for that.
You can grab the new instalment of the podcast though, and you can grab it by clicking here. As always, if you’d like iTunes to do all the downloading for you, then just search for me in iTune’s podcast library and you can add me.
Its a killer one this month, with an utterly awesome set from Belfast’s own Bloom - you’ll need to hoke out your bass-face for this one my friends…. tracklisting below.
Blackdown - Concrete Streets (Zomby Remix)
Distance vrs Cyrus - Surrender
Burnkane - You Will Forget
Black Chow - Purple Smoke
I recently went to see 500 Days of Summer with my fine American friend Mandy and I have to say it was a great film with a really believable, true-esque story. I was really drawn in by the soundtrack that the film utilised and wanted to share 3 of the tracks that jumped out at me. Find them below.
Also - go see it. If only because the amazing Zooey Deschanel is in it.
Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition
Doves - There Goes the Fear
The Smiths - Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want
